1. Why did the writer think her friend was going to prison?
Because he might of been caught shoplifting.
2. Why did the two girls not go to school?
Because they were going to have fun.
3. How much money did the writer have with her?
One dollar
4. Who was Mr Patel and what did he ask the children?
Mr Patel is the shopkeeper and he asked “aren’t you supposed to be at school
5. List the items the two girls got from Mr Patel’s dairy.
A tin of baby food and a toothbrush.
6. What did they do with two items?
Dumped it inside a mailbox.
7. Explain why the girls thought it was funny.
Because no one suspected anything.
8. How did the girls get to town? Explain the reason for their trip.
They went on a bus and they took a trip because it was too late to go to school.
9. Explain how her friend got into trouble at the big shop.
Stuff that didn't belong to her fell out of her pocket.
10. Explain why the writer threw away the lipstick in the bin.
Because there were cops.
